Industrial Design
Humanscope’s industrial design team have over 60 years of combined experience developing products that balance the needs and wants of the consumer with the business strategy of the client. We create products that are functional and profitable. Using the information gained from market research, we will have a clear picture of the benefits and features your product must have and how it will be presented. Industrial design is the point where the information is visualized and brought to life through concept drawings, method testing and exploring forms to better define the design of your product.
Design Engineering & Development
With technical drawings and digital modelling, our designers can ensure that concepts of your product are manufacturable and cost-effective from the start. Once a concept is ready, this step allows us to evaluate and test your design, ensuring that all sensitive components are protected and that manufacturing is feasible. Humanscope’s designers and engineers are experts in product cost reduction and in designing your product to regulatory standards such as CSA, UL, ISO, FDA and FCC. Using state-of-the-art CAD tools, the team will create and refine the initial design concepts into a three-dimensional assembly model of your product showcasing all of its physical components and hardware.
Prototypes
Concept exploration can give you the sense of how your product will look, but being able to hold it in your hands is much more impactful. With a prototype created, the Humanscope team can test your product’s usability, while confirming its look and feel. This step allows us to integrate any electronic hardware and software and refine any design specifications to ensure everything is precise before it’s manufactured.
Patents
Protecting your product innovation is critical to be successful in today’s market. We work closely with US patent agents to develop a cost-effective IP strategy that includes trademarks and patents. Obtaining the proper trademarks and patents is critical if you intend to market the product yourself or to license it to someone else. Our Industrial Design and Product Development team has extensive experience in obtaining strong protection for the intellectual property of our clients.

Being only an hour from Hong Kong and Shenzhen with excellent ports nearby we are very close to all the major suppliers of materials and manufacturers of any components you require. We work very closely with a wide variety of suppliers from electronic components, PCBs and motors to complex materials and packaging.
